The Pella Christian football team enjoyed another remarkable season in 2022, and their 16 seniors played a big part in the success this year.

In the last four years, the Eagles compiled an overall record of 28-13 and made it to the Class 1A playoffs all four years. The past two seasons have seen Pella Christian football reach the semifinals in 2021 and the quarterfinals in 2022. Beyond what these seniors did on the football field, Eagles head coach Rich Kacmarynski said he will miss their off-the-field contributions just as much and added that he’s excited to see what the future holds for them.

“I would say their leadership, their encouragement, also just how well they played together. I really felt like our senior class enjoyed playing together and and being together and I think that kind of set the tone for our whole team. So, that’s going to be very difficult to replace. So, I can’t say enough good things about our senior class. They just led in every way in the weight room, summer conditioning, fall camp. So, the good Lord’s got great things in store for these seniors. Really excited to see what what’s going to happen with them in life after football as they move forward the rest of senior year here at Pella Christian and also in college or the military or in the workforce.”

Pella Christian football finished the 2022 season with an overall record of 8-2.
