In two weeks, one of the biggest celebrations of the holiday season in central Iowa kicks off in Pella.

Ann Frost with Visit Pella says the annual Tour of Homes and Kerstmarkt both return December 1st through the 3rd. For the 59th Tour of Homes, Frost says four stops will be decorated with holiday themes and ideas, generated by the homeowners, volunteers, and local sponsors.

She says the three days of the event are a great time to visit Pella, with a wide range of community events and activities ongoing for both residents and visitors to enjoy, including the returning Kerstmarkt Christmas Market on the Molengracht, the returning visit of Sinterklaas at Pella Historical Society, and the Pella Opera House Festival of Trees, among others.

Tickets for the Pella Christmas Tour of Homes cost $15 digitally and $18 for physical copies at visitpella.com or at several local retailers. Tour of Home tickets include home tours and refreshments to go provided for pick up at the Kerstmarkt Christmas Market on the Molengracht at 700 Main Street.
