The Marion County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday. The board discussed the Junction 92 Project plan of finance. No action was taken as it is expected that Local Option Sales Tax is one of the options.

The board approved a funding agreement with the Iowa Department of Transportation for the County-State-Traffic-Engineering-Program Project, and authorized Flagler Bridge Design Supplemental Agreements.

There was discussion on a cattle pass agreement, heard a report from the county weed commissioner and approved a 28E Agreement with the Iowa Department of Transportation for Driver’s License Services. They also approved the 2023 employee holidays.

They held a public hearing on rezoning issues and approved the Final Plat of Steenhoek Acres.

A proposed appraisal of the VA Campus “Laundry Building” was discussed with no action taken as the board awaits hearing about grants that were applied for.
