Housing development has skyrocketed over the past several years in Indianola, with an emphasis put on being a better partner for developers by the Indianola City Council and City of Indianola staff. Community and Economic Development Director Charlie Dissell tells KNIA News new housing permits nearly tripled from 2018.

“We had 40 total units, new residential units added in 2018, and last year we were up to 115 that were coming in now. So I think we are seeing a lot of that work and focus pay off.
