It was a successful debut for the Twin Cedars Girls Basketball Squad as the Sabers pounded Orient-Macksburg 50-25. Twin Cedars led throughout and utilized its quickness to its advantage forcing early turnovers to build a lead. Kenzyn Roberts scored a career high 15 points to lead Twin Cedars. Coach Theresa Davis tells KNIA/KRLS Sports the top of the Bluegrass Conference is where everyone wants to be and her team is looking at that top level.
Davis: “I think Ankeny Christian will be tough against, Diagonal is small in numbers but they brought back 4 of their 5 starters. I Watched Moraiva play at the jamboree the other night, and Lamoni is alwasy ready to play.”
Twin Cedars is 1-0 and will travel to Wayne next Tuesday.
