twin-cedars-4

Twin Cedars Basketball Squads will head to Wayne tonight. For the girls it has been a long layoff since their season opening win over Orient-Macksburg 50-25. The Sabers got balanced scoring with Kenzyn Roberts leading the way with 15 points. While Twin Cedars did not shoot the ball well, the Sabers made 77% of their free throws and held the Bulldogs to single digits in three of the four quarters. For the boys it is the season opener. First Year Coach Mateo Varese tells KNIA/KRLS Sports Kasey Clark will be very important to the offense as it uses motion and a quicker tempo.

Varese: “Kasey did a great job of that in the scrimmage. I felt like he had a lot of post up scores. We ran a lot of give and go cuts to the post and passed to the inside.”

The girls game is set to begin at 6:00 with the boys to follow.
