Pella Christian senior Jack Fancher signed his national letter of intent to continue his academic and football careers at Dordt University.
On the football field, Fancher has been a model of consistency at the kicker position for the Eagles. In his high school career, Fancher converted on 89% of his extra point attempts going 134 for 150. He also made seven of his nine field goal tries, which included tying Trey Hugen’s 2010 school record with a 47-yarder against Van Buren.
Fancher also booted 38 career touchbacks on kickoffs. Defensively, he recorded 51.5 tackles, four interceptions, and a fumble recovery. Also playing wide receiver for the Eagles, Fancher had 18 catches for 259 yards and three touchdowns.
The senior also plays on the Pella Christian boys basketball squad and will look to help the team bounce back from a tough season opening loss against Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont, when they host Oskaloosa on Friday.
