Windy conditions are expected today, especially with the passage of a strong front moving through during the afternoon to evening, according to the National Weather Service. A Wind Advisory is in effect starting at 6 p.m. and continuing until 3 a.m. This will bring strong gusts in excess of 45 to 50 mph across much of south central Iowa. Much cooler air will arrive into Saturday morning with wind chills dropping into the single digits above zero.
