In one plus season under Coach Skylar Spaur, the Knoxville Wrestling Squad has had a goal of winning a Saturday meet. Goal accomplished as the Panthers ran away from the competition at the Coach Riley Invitational at Nodaway Valley on Saturday scoring 215 points. In fact, Marion County schools went one/two as Pleasantville finished second with 175 points. Three Panthers took home 1st place medals including Luke Spaur at 138 pounds, Andon Trout at 145 pounds, and Daniel Gorskikh at 170 pounds. One of the highlights of the Panthers’ day was Reagan Roberts placing 2nd. For Pleasantville Carter Metcalf won at 152, and Dillen Ammons took gold at 182 pounds. Knoxville will head to Baxter on Thursday to wrestle in a triangular while Pleasantville will host a quad with PCM, Pella and Sigourney on Tuesday.
