Pleasantville competed at the Iowa State Dance Championships in several categories Wednesday. Pleasantville came away with a state dance championship in Class 5 Pom.
Pleasantville Coach Miika Busick tells KNIA/KRLS News, “Pom is really a very, very competitive category at state dance and there are so many good teams. So, a championship in pom is really something that we’re really honored and blessed to have.”
Other awards won by Pleasantville students from the first day of state competition November 30, saw the Trojans second in Class 1 Color Guard in the team portion of the state meet.
Peyton Seuferer was ninth in Class 3 Dance Solos and she was the recipient of the Lois Turnage Legacy Scholarship. Soloists from Plesantville who earned division 1 medals were Sophia Mason, Emily Dority, Hally Mull, Katherine Nickel and Addison Wall.
