Christmas-themed entertainment continues this weekend in Pella.

A Cappella Choir and Chamber Singers will perform Christmas Candlelight Concerts under the direction of Mark Babcock, a 1991 Central graduate, professor of music and M. Joan Kuyper Farver Endowed Chair in Music. Christmas Candlelight concerts in Pella will be at 8 p.m. tonight and Saturday in Douwstra Auditorium on Hoekstra Family Stage. Tickets for adults are $15; students up to age 12 and senior citizens are $12; and free to those who present a Central ID. To reserve seats, visit central.universitytickets.com.

This winter, the Union Street Players are bringing together a series of shows for Christmas instead of their traditional one musical. Director Shawn Pavlik says the community theatre group will highlight Requiem for the Innkeeper, Twas the Night Before Columbus Day, and The Gift of the Magi. Three more shows remain tonight at 7:00, Saturday at 7 p.m., and Sunday at 2 p.m. and tickets can be purchased here.

Pella Opera House Events Coordinator Jara Johnson says they will present a concert titled Jamie O’Neal: Spirit and Joy Christmas concert, which includes a pre-show meal, this Saturday. Jamie O’Neal is a Platinum-selling country singer and hit songwriter who released her newest album, Spirit & Joy, for the Christmas season. Tickets to the Pella Opera House Christmas show, Jamie O’Neal: Spirit & Joy, cost $30 for adults and $18 for those up to 18 years old. Purchase tickets here.
