twin-cedars-4

Balanced scoring was not enough for the Twin Cedars Girls Basketball Squad on Friday as the Sabers lost to Mormon Trail 40-37 while the boys fell 60-39. The girls were ahead for most of the first half, but struggled in the 3rd quarter. Cheyanne Bruns scored 14 points, Rylee Dunkin had 12 and Kisha Reed had another dominating night on the board with 13. The same could also be said for the boys as one bad quarter dictated the night. Coach Mateo Varese told KNIA/KRLS Sports they played well and freshman Holden Roberts led with 16 points. The girls will host Albia today while the boys are off until Tuesday when they travel to Moravia.
