The Methodist Church in Knoxville will be holding a Living Nativity Scene at the church Saturday, December 17th from 2:30 until 4 p.m. The event will be held in front of the church along with live animals.
Lauren Petersen, children’s and youth director, at the church, tells KNIA/KRLS News about the event “This coming Saturday, Saturday December 17th from 2:30 until 4 p.m. we are going to have a living nativity out in front of the church in our main entrance on Montgomery Street, where we will have some live animals there, where you can come up and say hi to. We’re going to have some delicious hot cocoa being served. You can kind of mill around talk with each other and meet some of the members of our cast from our Christmas play that we will be performing on Christmas eve.”
A few of the animals slated for the Living Nativity Scene include sheep, goats, a donkey and a horse. The event is scheduled unless there is inclement weather. For further information contact the church.
