The Pella School Board met for the final time in 2022 at their regular session Monday. The board held a public hearing on a resolution supporting the issuance of $21 million in school infrastructure bonds and approved the measure. An update was also given about progress for construction of the Early Childhood Center. The board approved new course proposals for 2023-24, an affirmative action plan, and a job description for a new Director of Early Childhood and K-12 Special Education position. Reports were also given from all district administrators as well about ongoing projects in all buildings and departments, including extensive discussion about the new behavioral leader and coach positions created for this academic year at the elementary levels.
