“Another tournament, and another day that I’m really impressed by how our girls are competing,” Head Coach Adam Hale said. “We intentionally scheduled this tournament because we wanted to see competitors from a different part of the state, and we knew there would be a lot of good teams here; it was a successful trip in both of those aspects.”
More from Hale:
“Lorin getting a win was a big mark for her personally, and it’s always really fun to see the emotions that come out in those big moments. Jasey has really picked up her intensity the past couple of weeks and found a new level of wrestling. Today was the best that I’ve seen her wrestle (she was just a few seconds away from being 5-0 on the day and over the past two weeks has been 9-3). Having her find her groove has been a great spark for the team. Emmalee continues on her impressive start to her career (18-1) and does a great job of responding to the feedback we give her. Elaine did lose twice today, but like Jasey, this is probably the best she’s wrestled. Her two losses came against girls who had a combined 1 loss coming into the tournament.”
