At just before the halfway point of the season, Twin Cedars Girls Basketball Player Kisha Reed is getting a reputation of being a rebounding machine. Currently she has 109 boards on the season which ties her for second in the Bluegrass Conference. She is also listed as one of the top rebounders across the state in class 1A where she is tied for 4th and is in the top five in the state regardless of class. Her coach Theresa Davis tells KNIA/KRLS Sports as good as she is at rebounding, her offense is also looking to come around.
Davis: “She is big under the basket, and she has her mind focuses on what she needs to do. She’s a good shot and can shoot 3s. She needs to contribute about 10 points per game and drive to the basket and get the foul.”
Reed is not too far off from averaging a double double this season. She is getting 13.6 rebounds per game, and is averaging 6.9 points while averaging just under two fouls per game. Twin Cedars will travel to Lamoni to close out the pre-Christmas portion of the season on Tuesday.
