A resolution was approved by the Knoxville City Council between the city of Knoxville and Iowa Inspections LLC related to rental housing inspections at the council meeting Monday.

Rental housing inspections were first approved in Knoxville in January of 2021, according to Knoxville City Manager Heather Ussery. The program actually started in January of this year. The city is working at getting notices sent out to those who will be inspected this year.

They will be increasing their fees for inspections 30% over a three-year period. All other parts of the inspection will remain the same according to Knoxville City Manager Heather Ussery.
