The unemployment rate slightly increased locally in November, according to the latest data from Iowa Workforce Development.
In Marion County, the percentage is at 2.2%, up from 1.9% in October and a decrease from 2.4% in November 2021 There are 19,120 employed residents and 430 individuals seeking work and receiving benefits.
In Warren County, the percentage increased to 2.6% from 2.3% in October, and was at 2.9% this time last year. There are 28,100 employed residents and 700 individuals seeking work and receiving benefits.
Iowa’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate increased to 3.1% in November, which was 2.9% in October and 3.9% one year ago. The November national unemployment rate remains at 3.7%.
