melcher-dallas-7

The Melcher-Dallas Girls basketball Squad is currently on a three game winning streak going into the break. The Saints have made strides in the three games and Coach Kelsey Goff has noticed fewer turnovers and more players willing to score. She tells KNIA Sports that has to continue especially cutting down on turnovers knowing they are not a great shooting team.

Goff: “Recognizing what we’re doing or not doing to cut down on turnovers. I’ve told them we are not a very good shooting team and we need to take care of the ball and get shots up.”

The Saints are shooting just 21% from the field but averaging around 16 turnovers per game. She adds that point guard Addi Wadle is beginning to distribute the ball and trusting her teammates to make plays. Melcher-Dallas will get back to action on January 3rd at Murray.
