The Indianola Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new restaurant Sauced Up on Thursday. Owner Rick Valentine tells KNIA News construction delays held up the opening, but the initial response from the community has been overwhelmingly positive.
“From the opening to today it’s been a whirlwind. It’s so good to just get things up off the ground and running, and being able to help get people in here tasting what we’ve been thinking for the past. I don’t know how long, how many months we’ve been working on it. It’s a good day, a very good day.”
Valentine also said he appreciates the patience and understanding of the Indianola community as they continue to learn what works best and what customers want.
