There are several things to consider during winter when it comes to dealing with the weather and taking care of your vehicle. 

Terry Gholson, Fixed Operations Manager at DeYarman Automotive in Knoxville tells KNIA/KRLS News, make sure there is plenty of gas in the vehicle in case you get stranded. It’s also important to have good tires and a strong battery.

Gholson says, “Some of the basics I would definitely look for, is number one make sure you keep enough gas in it. You don’t want it low when it freezes. You want to have at least a half a tank in there all the time. I would definitely with Iowa and our weather fluctuating so make sure your tire pressure is set where it needs to be.”

If people need help with the tire pressure, Gholson said they can stop in to have the tire pressure set properly.
