After they first found out they were selected in October 2021 and with just over a year’s worth of work and anticipation growing since, the Pella Marching Dutch are about to “turn the corner” at the “Granddaddy of Them All” today.
The band will participate in the Tournament of Roses parade that begins at 10 a.m. Central Time, with the event showcased on both ABC and NBC television, and on a variety of other streaming platforms.
The Rose Parade travels 5 ½ miles down Colorado Blvd. in Pasadena, California, and features four types of entries: floral-decorated floats entered by a participating corporation, non-profit organization or municipality, equestrian units, marching bands, and Tournament entries.
Pella will be 52nd in the order of the parade out of 80 scheduled participants.
Stay tuned to 92.1 KRLS for updates from the experience Monday.
