The Pleasantville varsity boys’ basketball team opened the new year with a 76-67 West Central Activities Conference win on the road Tuesday evening.
Pleasantville Coach Taylor Phipps said it was a physical game and a great team win. The Trojans had one of their best balanced scoring performances of the season. Dyson Leerhoff tossed in a team high 25 points for the Trojans.
He had plenty of support with Trent Jolly hitting for 19 points, Parker Sheets 15 and Ryder Thill 10.
Pleasantville outscored the Panthers 27 to 11 in the fourth quarter for the win. The Trojans moved to 4-5 overall with the win and 3-5 in the league. Panorama fell to 4-5 overall.
Pleasantville will play again Thursday at Colfax-Mingo in a JV-Varsity game starting at 7:30 for the varsity tip.
