The Indianola Community Youth Foundation entered into 2023 after having held multiple successful events throughout 2022, including the annual Back to School Bash, Trunk or Treat, and Breakfast with Santa. ICYF Executive Director Taylor Nehring tells KNIA News every event is unique, and trying to better the community however possible.

“Everything we do we try to make a big difference in the community. It’s really fun to see how our big events or our monetary contributions affect the community. Trunk or Treat is one of my favorite events, we have huge participation and I love seeing the costumes and the community support. But on a different scale, we gave milk vouchers to the Helping Hand so we were able to make a lot of impact on those families which is really neat.”

Nehring also said she appreciates the community support at all the events, which allows them to be able to hold the successful events each year.
