Kris Boot, CCST, Health Information Management, was selected as Pella Regional Health Center’s December Shining Star for her high performance standards.

Boot, resident of Pella, was nominated based on attitude, commitment, communication, safety and ownership.

Excerpt from her nomination:

“Kris has taken a lead role in our denial management. She takes on calling and working with the insurance companies to figure out the root cause. She is diligent in writing appeals when needed and advocating to get all the necessary items for coverage. Kris takes a lot of pride in her work and is a great asset not only to Health Information Management, but to Pella Regional.”

Boot will receive a $100 gift, a plaque, and will automatically be included in the nominations for Shining Star of the Year award.
