The Indianola Fire Department saw a record number of callouts, training hours, and transition to full-time employees over the year of 2022, all coming from the growth of the City of Indianola and Warren County. Chief Greg Chia tells KNIA News the department is one of the best in the entire state.

“They are top notch, and I’m including the metro. They know what type of service is needed, whether it is patient care or terminating a fire scene. I would put them up against anybody as far as providing a service, and Indianola is very lucky they get to benefit from that service that is provided by our employees.”

Chief Chia also said he hopes Indianola residents know the quality of service that they have with the department, and appreciates the hard work they do during training throughout the year.
