After 22 years, Dan Van Donselaar resigned from his position as Manager of the Knoxville Airport and is working with a local aviation company to purchase Knoxville Aviation. 

Van Donselaar’s resignation will be effective March 1, 2023, as he has accepted a new position with a private aviation company. He will assist the new owners of Knoxville Aviation in the transition of customers and maintenance of current services, through the next year in a part-time role.

Steve Mitchell, with the Knoxville airport board, tells KNIA/KRLS News that they have interviewed two candidates and they are getting close to selecting a new airport manager.
