The Pella Christian basketball teams split up Monday night for non-conference action, as the girls host Albia and the boys travel to Pekin.
The Eagles girls enter their contest with the Blue Demons with the hopes of putting an end to their eight-game winless drought following their loss to Class 4A #11 ranked Indianola on Friday. Albia also dropped the contest Friday night to Chariton, marking their third consecutive loss.
In the boys contest, Pella Christian hits the road having won three of their last four but dropped their most recent game on Friday to previously unbeaten and currently ranked #5 in Class 4A Indianola. Like the Eagles, Pekin also has won three of the last four contests, with their loss coming Friday night to Winfield-Mt.Union.
The Pella Christian girls basketball game at home against Albia can be heard live 92.1 KRLS and viewed on the Pella Christian High School YouTube Channel at 6:45 p.m. Monday, while the boys game at Pekin High School tips off at 7:30 p.m.
