The Norwalk bowling teams both defeated Pella Christian in a Little Hawkeye Conference dual meet held Saturday at the Dutch 200 Bowl & Grill in Pella.

The Warrior girls won 1910-1776, pulling away during the last four Baker games of the day, while the Warrior boys won 2566-1966.

Pella Christian’s Dani Roose and Alexa Klaasen recorded the top individual girls’ rounds of the day with two-game series scores of 334 and 308, respectively. Klaasen had the highest single-game score with a 190. The Norwalk girls posted the next five highest rounds, led by Kate Desmond with a 277, Elivia Stout’s 272 and Addy Nielsen’s 266.

The Norwalk boys’ 600-pin margin of victory was highlighted by Emerson Fels, who rolled games of 244 and 164 for a total score of 408. Andrew Winfrey scored a 388 series, including a 212 game, and Jaxson Swift had a 343. The Eagles were paced by Andrew VanKooten’s 321 and Evan DeJong’s 289.

Both Norwalk squads improved to 4-4 on the season. The Pella Christian girls are now 1-5 and the boys are 0-6. All four teams will return to competition on Saturday.
