While the Historical Village is closed until the spring, Pella Historical Society is still showcasing several activities during their Windmill Winterim. This week’s program will feature Executive Director Valerie Van Kooten after she attended a conference this past fall in Noordeloos, Netherlands, commemorating Pella’s 175th birthday.
Her presentation begins at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Cox-Snow Recital Hall and is free to attend and open to the public.
Following her talk, they will show the documentary 175 Tulips Away, created by Noah van Diepen and Lincy Wingelaar, two Dutch students who stayed in Pella in April and during last year’s Tulip Time celebration.
Hear some of Van Kooten’s experiences on the In Depth podcast.
