Pierre Baldwin (freshman, Carol Stream, Ill., West Chicago HS) made his debut in the National Wrestling Coaches Association Division III Individual Rankings for the Central College wrestling team alongside teammate Brock Beck (junior, Grinnell).

Central fell out of the team dual rankings after a pair of losses to start its January slate.

Baldwin and Beck are both ranked at #15 individually at 133 and 141 pounds, respectively.

Baldwin (15-3) took over as the starter at 141 pounds since the beginning of this season. He’s undefeated in six dual matches, including a 3-0 mark in American Rivers Conference duals. He’s 7-1 since the start of January, losing only to an NCAA Division II opponent.

Beck (15-4) has an individual tournament title from the Millikin Open and three runner-up efforts at the Pointer Open, MSOE Invitational and Central’s Under Armour Invitational. Three of his four losses have come against nationally ranked opponents, including the No. 1 wrestler in Division III, Robbie Precin of North Central College (Ill.)

Central is at the American Rivers Conference dual tournament pod at Storm Lake Saturday. The Dutch have duals scheduled against Buena Vista University, #24 University of Dubuque and #3 Wartburg College.
