Both Simpson Storm basketball teams will try to recover from a mid-week loss today in the Cowles Fieldhouse, as they host the Knights of Wartburg in an American Rivers Conference doubleheader.

The Storm women had won five of six going into their games Wednesday at Loras, and will have an even bigger mountain to climb today taking on perennial power Wartburg, who is currently undefeated in conference play. The Storm are looking to keep their home winning streak against the Knights alive, as Wartburg hasn’t won at Simpson since 2019.

The Storm men defeated the Knights on the road in their first matchup in December, and are looking to stop their conference standings freefall, having lost their last five conference games after a 4-1 start, and are currently on the outside looking in for the postseason conference tournament.

The games will be broadcast live on 94.3 KNIA, and can be watched live on SimpsonAthletics.com, with Andrew Swadner and Rick Wilson on the call. Pregame coverage begins at 1:45pm, with tip-off at 2.
