Woodward-Granger won a narrow 49-43 West Central Conference decision over the Pleasantville Trojans Friday night in varsity girls basketball.
Pleasantville Coach Jeff Cook tells KNIA/KRLS News, the game was back and forth the entire game. The Trojans had a balanced offensive attack as Joelle Johnson hit for 15 points and Azell Smith added 12 in the loss. Hope DeMan contributed 10 points for the Trojans and Emily Roe had eight.
The Trojans fell to 6-12 overall with the setback. The Trojan varsity girls and boys will be back in action today facing Chariton at home in non-conference play. The girls game tips at 4:30 with the boys in action at 6 p.m.
