Knoxville Police Chief Aaron Fuller tells KNIA/KRLS News that his department handled over 9,000 calls in 2022, which was down compared to the year before.
Fuller noted his department had an 18 percent increase in calls for service, such as funeral escorts, car unlocks, welfare checks, extra patrol and motorist assists, etc.
Fuller tells KNIA/KRLS News, It’s nice to know that calls for service from the criminal aspect is going down. He added it is also nice that the public trusts his department enough to call when they need something.
