The Pleasantville Trojan boys basketball team went on the road and thumped Woodward Academy 76-44 Tuesday evening.

Dayson Leerhoff tallied 34 points, Ryder Thill added 17 and Peyton Major tossed in 10 as the Trojans beat the Knights.

Pleasantville will return to the court for varsity action Friday, Feb. 3 to play host to AC/GC in a girl/boy doubleheader tipping at 6 p.m.

Trojan wrestlers fall in Regional Team competition

The Pleasantville Trojans suffered a 47-28 loss Tuesday in a Class 1A Regional match against Lisbon.

Coach Heath DeForest’s Trojans won five of the 14 varsity matches. Winning for PHS were Caleb Cook and Silas Koenig with pins. The Cook pin was in 15 seconds. Carter Metcalf had a Trojan win 13-0 while Dillen Ammons and Paul Gasparovich each won by forfeit.
