Following a visit to LDJ Manufacturing and Int Velds in Pella this past week, one of the Undersecretaries of the United States Department of Agriculture reinforced the importance of investing in rural communities. Xochitl Torres Small is the Under Secretary for Rural Development at the USDA, which secured $2 billion for rural broadband projects related to the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law signed by President Joe Biden in 2021.
