Marion County Humane Society President Leslie VanderLinden tells KNIA/KRLS News the facility has quite a few dogs and cats that are looking for homes. There is a wide variety to choose from.
The humane society is a non-profit animal shelter. While the facility is looking for homes for all the animals VanderLinden says, “We especially are looking for homes for some of the larger dogs that have been there for a while.”
The Humane Society is currently in need of help. They are looking for a kennel technician to clean, provide food and water for the animals and give them baths, as part of the job.
Hours the shelter is open are Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
