A pair of Pella swimmers helped their relay earn a season best time while competing at the 2023 state meet at the University of Iowa Saturday.

Eli Eekhoff and MacK Copeland were a part of the 400 freestyle relay for the NCMP team based out of Newton, a swam a time of 3:21.99 to place 20th.

The group of four also included Finn Martin and Clay Lamb, and came in as the 23 seed with a qualifying time of 3:25.22.
