A Pella High School bowler made history today at the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union regional meet in Keokuk.
Taylor Walker of Pella shot a school record three-game series of 527 to earn a bid to the Class 2A state girls bowling tournament February 20th through 22nd. The Dutch team placed 8th and ended their season.
Walker is the first-ever female state qualifier for the Pella program since the Dutch started competing officially as a sanctioned team in 2016. The boys will have their qualifying meet in Keokuk Tuesday.
