The Pella boys basketball team will stay home to start the Class 3A playoffs, and have one final tune up to get ready for the postseason tonight.
The Dutch (11-9 overall, tied-5th in the Little Hawkeye Conference) head to #9 in 3A Mt. Pleasant (17-4 overall, Southeast Conference champions), in the regular season finale. This comes after Pella learned they’d host Knoxville on Monday, February 20th in the Class 3A Substate 7 playoffs, in a bracket shared with #7 in 3A Waverly Shell-Rock.
Mt. Pleasant is led by Junior Payton Hagans and his 20.7 points and 8.2 rebounds per game, and Senior Aiden Ashton and his 14 points sand 5 rebounds per contest. Varsity action will begin at 7 p.m., with no KRLS-radio broadcast on the schedule due to postseason obligations.
