A move from rain and wind today gives way to snow by late Wednesday night, according to the National Weather Service. Some areas may receive up to a 1/2″ of precipitation by this evening. Wind speeds will increase to 20-30 MPH, with gusts up to 40 MPH possible through tomorrow morning.
A winter storm watch will follow late Wednesday into Thursday. While final totals may vary, most of the region should expect 2-4 inches of snow by Thursday evening, with higher amounts possible depending on the final track of the storm.
Travel is expected to be difficult during that time.
