In a season chasing many school records, Carter Failor joins an elite list of Dutch bowlers by qualifying for the 2023 state meet Tuesday in Keokuk. Failor scored a 604 in three games to earn a top eight finish and a chance to compete among Iowa’s best next week. Carter has been having a strong finish to the regular season and playoffs, scoring a school-record 721 in a three-game series at the Two Rivers Conference meet this past weekend as well. Failor will join Dutch girls individual qualifier Taylor Walker at next week’s state meet in Waterloo.
