A regular season finale ended with extra time forced by a late Dutch rally as the boys basketball team pulled off a road win over #9 in Class 3A Mt. Pleasant Tuesday. Pella edged out the Panthers in a 63-57 contest that went to overtime. Down by two with six seconds remaining, Trey Van Hauen was able to get to the foul line for two free throws with .5 seconds remaining in regulation — and hit both to tie and force the extra four minutes. The Dutch hit a few three point baskets on the opening possessions of OT to set the tone and pulled away late. Van Hauen finished with 10 points; Brayden Traetow and Romon Hugan scored 13 and 12 respectively to lead Pella. The Dutch finish the regular season at 12-9 and host Knoxville in the opening round of the substate playoffs Monday.
