A string of lights in the sky over central Iowa shortly before 7pm Monday were likely Starlink satellites, according to Marion County Sheriff Jason Sandholdt. Using his company SpaceX, Elon Musk has plans to launch around 12,000 Starlink satellites over the next few years.
