A winter storm dumped heavy snow across south central Iowa. According to several storm reports submitted to the National Weather Service, most locations in Marion and Warren Counties received between six to nine inches of snow:

Many area businesses, schools, and organizations closed altogether or altered hours, and several crashes were reported throughout the region.
A bounce back into the upper 30s and low 40s for daytime temperatures is expected to continue for most of the upcoming week.
