krco

The Knoxville Racing Charitable Organization (KRCO) is a non-profit organization that was created approximately 25 years ago by several sprint car drivers’ wives in order to provide additional safety equipment (for the cars and drivers) and additional insurance for those who race weekly at Knoxville and are in the Knoxville Raceway Points.

The 11th Annual KRCO Fundraiser is Saturday at Dyer-Hudson Hall. Doors open at 4 p.m. The silent auction starts at 4 p.m., followed by a live auction at 7 p.m. The silent auction closes at 8 p.m. A spaghetti meal will be available for purchase at $10.00 from 5-8 p.m. Meal tickets are available at the door.

Maureen Nichols, past president and currently a board member tells KNIA/KRLS News “It’s just a fun event that gets us all fired up for race season again.”

A few of the items that are slated for the auction include hotel stays, autographed items and gift certificates. The organization is still accepting donations for the auctions.
