“Love Where You Live,” is a project to add up to three murals in Knoxville, with the first one projected at the Auld Park backed by Thrive Knoxville. The Knoxville City Council Monday night directed Hannah Vander Veer, who represented “Love Where You Live,” to move forward with the project.

Vander Veer tells KNIA/KRLS News, “Love Where You Live,” is an idea that I wanted to pursue. Just about loving your community and doing things to uplift it.”

Currently Vander Veer is working on potentially three smaller mural projects that will be done by local artist Amber Klootwyk. Thrive has donated enough money to complete the first mural.
