The Warren County Board of Supervisors meet in a pair of special sessions today, both of which involve working on the budget.

The board was met with over a hundred residents after the maximum property tax levy was published, as high as after a proposed property tax-levy was published, and if the high-mark was approved, would increase the rural rate to $3.01 per $1,000 of valuation, up from $1.67.

Board Chair Darren Heater said in the previous meeting the potential 80% increase was the maximum amount and was not the tax proposed by the board.

The board will also consider the sale of County-Owned property to an adjacent landholder. The meeting takes place at 8:30am in the boardroom of the Warren County Administration Building, with a second meeting at 1pm.
