The Iowa State Dance/Drill Team Association (ISDTA) has announced the Lois Turnage Outstanding Community Service Award winners. Two area teams were among the list of 14 school districts who were recognized.

Pleasantville and Knoxville were area schools recognized for the award for giving of their time and dedication to their communities.

Turnage, formerly of Pleasantville, was a past ISDTA President, who valued service and dedicated much of her time to her community.
