qpf72-8

A round of heavy rainfall remains possible across south central Iowa late this weekend. After seasonably warm and dry conditions for most of the weekend, a fast moving system could dump an inch or more of precipitation starting late Sunday evening and ending early Monday morning, according to the National Weather Service. The heavy rain may cause some visibility issues and could also cause localized flooding in areas prone to quick-hitting rain storms. No severe weather is expected. Windy conditions are expected to follow Monday, but dry air should follow for most of the week, with highs moving up and down from the upper 30s to low 50s.
